Einheit is one of the few German bistros we can find in Busan, or even throughout the whole Korea. They provide a series of beers from classic beer, stout to ale, available in both draft and also bottle. Other than German beers, they also have beers from Belgium, United States and Korea traditional brewed beer. But we will get to it later.
First of all, the place is different from what we always to see in Busan. Interior design of the bistro is simply awesome and mind-blowing. We liked the fact that it was not really well lit. It created a beautiful mix of light and shadows. The red color gave the atmosphere an animist touch. And I looooved the jumble of bottles, books and posters! I wouldn't say that this bistro's atmosphere is warm but it's very relaxing. The music is not too loud, perfect balance for people to talk and enjoy the company of the music at the same time. The music genres are mostly on old rock and pop rock combination. Just perfect. I also noticed that there weren’t a lot of customers, I think it's because of the location of that place. However, we love it! Because to be honest, there aren't a lot of bistro and pub in KyungSung area that can provide us this kind of environment to spend time with our loved ones. |
Most of the beers are imported from Germany and Belgium. Prices are a bit expensive but I think it's definitely worth it, especially if you want to escape from our typical Cass, Hite and Max Beer, that you can get it in every part of Busan. Dishes are also from Germany I think ; sausages, potatoes, pizza and bagels.
The foods were indeed delicious !! The mix of flavors in your mouth, with melting potatoes grilled with herbs. So good!
Now with the beers. We didn't know anything about them so we decided to order the Sampler Choice at 12 000 wons. Four small glasses with four different beers of our choice (but not the Schneider Weiss). Shayne liked the ARK BeHigh and the Evil twin, I preferred the ARK HugMe and the Köstrizer.
If you asked me what the difference between these two, well I'm far from being an expert. But personally I think the taste of Stout is way stronger compared to Ale, so does the bitterness. Yet. Ale is more smooth and has a mix of fruity and flowery smells.

See, who says drinking beer is bad? Look at us, we're LEARNING something! XD
Another super cool thing in this pub : The Getränk aka Beer Shop ! Yes, they have a tiny beer shop that offers looooots and lots of imported beer from all around the world ! It was sooo interesting and the choices are not that expensive I think. But careful, if you want to buy one of those bottles and drink it in the bar, you will have to pay a 4000 additional fee. However if you buy it as a take out, you pay the normal bottle price. |
