Shayne and me decided to try baby octopus yesterday (don't be disgusted, it's delicious eh he). So SJ brought us to a newly opened restaurant in Kyungsung : 우쭈쭈 ! It's brand new so everything is pretty and clean. The decoration is black and grey industrial style, with stools instead of chairs for some tables. The menu is simple with only two pages because this restaurant is specialized in Jjukkumi (baby octopus). It's in Korean only. We choose the 주꾸미세트 for three people (27 000 won). This set comes with a big Jjukumi platter (with Udon noodles), a very thin Gorgonzola pizza, steamed eggs and rice. We also took 에멘탈 퐁듀 (5000 won) out of curiosity. |
The steamed eggs' taste is slightly lighter than regular scrambled eggs. The texture reminds me of a chocolate mousse. It's more bland than anything but easy to eat.
As I said before, the pizza was SUPER thin (in Busan, they call it a Tortilla Pizza). Easy to roll and it with chopsticks ! The cheese was not melting but I am not difficult with pizza, ah ha ha.
For the 에멘탈 퐁듀 (Emmental Fondu) I was expecting something... more "French like". Meaning a real block of Emmental melted in a small pot. But they served us a kind of cheese cream. It was not bad, just... "cream" tasting like. It was actually really good to put baby octopus inside, tastes mixed really well together and the cheese lowered the spicyness of the Jjukkumi.
